Sparkling Stainless Steel No Chemicals Needed – A Pro Chef Kitchen Tools Microfiber Cloth Review

IMG_0562I would have to say that house cleaning is one of my least favorite tasks. No matter how much I dislike doing it, it needs to be done, so I am always on the lookout for products that make this task as quick and easy as possible. Having used traditional microfiber cleaning clothes, I was intrigued when I found a company that offered a microfiber cloth that had been designed specifically for cleaning stainless steel.

The stainless steel microfiber cloth came in a three pack from the company Pro Chef Kitchen Tools. Having been accustomed to the the fuzzy form of a microfiber cloth, I was intrigued when these cloths arrived at my door. They were not the traditional fuzzy type, instead they are a smooth, pleated style of of fabric. This design actually keeps the fibers firm, which allows these microfiber cleaning clothes to tackle the task of cleaning that which is in almost every IMG_0563household, Stainless Steel.

While its only my husband and I, we also have a home full of three cats and one dog, so keeping our home pristine is always a constant struggle. Combine that with working a full time job, and running a side business, and the thought of tacking any form of house cleaning never ranks very high on my to-do list. Cleaning always ends up being something that I have to do, not something that I want to do. So when I can find something to make this task easier, I am all for it.

Once these microfiber cleaning clothes arrived at my home, my first test was to tackle the door of our oven. Our hand towel takes up residence on the handle of the oven, so just something as simple as dripping water causes marks and stains on the oven door. I took one a stainless steel cloth out of the package, wet it at the sink, and then went to work.

Since the staining onIMG_0564 the oven door was minor, it took very little effort to get things clean. The dirtiest part of the oven was actually the grate at the bottom of the oven door. As you can sIMG_0565ee in my before and after photos, the before being the left side of the oven, and the after being the right, the microfiber cloth set from Pro Chef Kitchen Tools did a good job of cleaning. The only problem I had was there was still water spots on my oven door. I did try to buff the stains out with a dry cloth, and while it did seem to dull the water marks a bit, it did not make them completely go away.

Now I do not believe this is a negative mark against this stainless steel cleaning cloth, instead the stains seem to have been caused specifically by the minerals and chemicals in our city water. I did apply some Method Stainless Steel cleaner to the door after using these cloths, which helped to dull the look of the water stains. They are now only visible if you are very close up to the door.

Next up was to try and clean our gas stovetop. This is the one appliance in our home that gets the most use, and along with it spills and stains from daily use. In the past I had used a traditional microfiber cloth along with stainless steel cleaner, but that method was not without its problems. First the cleaner never really got the burnt on stains off the stovetop, no matter how hard you scrubbed. Second, the cloth never really picked up the crumbs that were on the stovetop, it just ended up pushing them around, making for additional cleanup tasks commonly in the form of vacuuming the floor because that is were all the crumbs usually ended up.

Cleaning the stovetop is where this stainless steel microfiber cloth really proved its worth. The cloth took off all the traditional stains with ease, but with a bit of elbow grease I was actually able to get the burned on stains that had been there for quite some time off the surface. Having only cleaned one side of the stovetop, I handed the cloth off to my husband to clean the other side to see if he experienced the same results that I had. He too was able to get the burned on stains off, making these microfiber cleaning cloths a keeper in our book.

I had also tackled cleaning the vent grates on our microwave, and while it did take a bit of effort to squeeze the cloth into the space between the grates, it did get the greasy build up off with ease, using nothing more than water. No chemicals required.

Overall, I am very happy with these microfiber cleaning cloths by Pro Chef Kitchen Tools. They are a great addition to my cleaning arsenal, and its nice to finally have a product that does not require the use of chemicals to get the cleaning job done. With these microfiber cloths in my home, I may finally be able to stay on top of keeping our kitchen appliances clean without having to carve hours out of my day to do it.
